This registration is intended for all girls interested in playing 8u machine pitch through High School (14U) Recreational Softball. These teams are involved in league play that involves some travel.
Again this year, we will not be doing the skills group and move those players right into machine pitch for learning purposes and to continue to move the softball program forward.
Girls who have had 1 year of tball are strongly encouraged to sign up for machine pitch. Speaking with softball experts, it is recommended that girls start with machine pitch as early as possible for success. In machine pitch, players all get 5 machine pitches. If they do not hit from the machine, they will have 3 opportunities on the tee then.
If you have concerns about this please reach out to Roxy.
* 8U machine will begin at age 6 and one year of tball is required before being able to sign up for 8U machine.
8U machine will play in the windmill league on Wednesdays. We are seeking a coach for this age group.
* 8U live will be incoming 3rd grade and 4th graders
* 10U will be incoming 5th graders.
* 12U will be incoming 6th and 7th graders.
* 14U will be incoming 8th and 9th graders.
Equipment needed includes - glove, bat, face mask, and helmet. WYSO does have some spare bats and helmets for use.
Participants will receive a personalized jersey. Players need to provide yellow socks, a yellow belt, and black pants.
